Larry King Talk Show Host and Founder of The Larry King Cardiac FoundationHillel School of Tampa Event to Feature Veteran Talk Show Host Larry King Larry King selected as guest speaker to raise money for the school and its effort to save a life in Tampa.

Tampa, FL December 19, 2008 -  Saving a Heart a Day is the goal of The Larry King Cardiac Foundation so Larry King, the well-known talk show host and founder of the Foundation, has agreed to be the guest speaker at an elegant brunch in Tampa to complete a year long fundraising effort that benefits the Hillel School of Tampa and its goal to help save a life in Tampa,  the school announced today.  

"Hillel School of Tampa is proud to bring Larry King to Tampa for this once-in-a-lifetime event," says Lynn Chernin, co-chair of the event called "From the Heart with Larry King" set for February 22nd.  "This is an event not just for Hillel School of Tampa parents and friends.  It's for anyone in the community who wants to hear Larry King in person and help the school as well as it's effort to help others.

To coincide with the event, the students at Hillel School of Tampa are raising money to help pay for someone from the Tampa area to receive a life-saving cardiac procedure.  The mission of the Larry King Cardiac Foundation is to provide funding for such procedures to those who have limited means or no insurance.

Tickets to the "From the Heart with Larry King" event are $100.  It will be held Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 11:30am at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa.

Hillel School of Tampa was recently named a Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education for being in the top 10% of the nation based on standardized testing, Hillel School of Tampa is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council.  As a member of the Jewish Community Day School Network, Hillel embraces all of the wonderfully diverse aspects of the rich culture and traditions of Judaism.  Hillel is the only Jewish Community Day School in the Tampa Bay area.

The Larry King Cardiac Foundation (LKCF) was established in 1988 to provide funding for life-saving treatment for individuals who, due to limited means or no insurance, would otherwise be unable to receive the treatment and care they so desperately need. The Foundation works in conjunction with hospitals throughout the nation to ensure that such patients receive proper medical attention. Doctors performing these surgeries do so at no charge. Hospitals are compensated only for the materials used. Hearts are repaired. Families are given another chance. Lives are saved.
