Gulfside Regional Hospices Thrift Shoppe in Dade City Received a 2008 Best of Dade City AwardDADE CITY, FL (January 16, 2009) – Gulfside Regional Hospice’s Thrift Shoppe in Dade City, located at 37925 Sky Ridge Cir., has been selected for the 2008 Best of Dade City Award in the Thrift Shops category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

 The USLBA Best of Local Business Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe achieve exceptional marketing success in their local community and business community. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

 

“The Dade City Thrift Shoppe is honored to receive this award because it is a testament to the staff and volunteers who work at the store daily,” said Lisa Bricker, Gulfside’s vice-president of development. “We are proud to serve the Dade City area with our Thrift Shoppe as well as throughout Pasco County with our other stores.”

Other Gulfside Regional Hospice Thrift Shoppe locations include Hudson, New Port Richey and Zephyrhills. All Gulfside Regional Hospice Thrift Shoppes are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Donations are accepted daily during business hours. The stores welcome gently used items, including antiques, furniture, jewelry, linens, handbags, artwork, house wares, electrical items in working condition, books and clothes. Pick-up can be scheduled for larger items by calling the store nearest you.

All proceeds from the volunteer-ran resale store are designated to provide care for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in Pasco County. For more information about the Dade City store, call 813-782-7200. For information about volunteer opportunities, call 727-845-5707.

Gulfside Regional Hospice, established as a nonprofit corporation in Pasco County in 1988 and was initially licensed in 1989, serves more than 400 patients daily. GRH employs over 250 professionals and has more than 450 volunteers, and is the only hospice that serves Pasco County exclusively.
