4th of July Fireworks, Celebrations and Events in Pinellas County

4th of July Fireworks Over Tampa BayThis Fourth of July, the celebrations will be abundant for Pinellas County. With so many festivities planned, there is sure to be fun for everyone!

In Tarpon Springs, a Patriotic Picnic will be held in Craig Park from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be music and fun-filled activities such as a bubblegum blowing contest and sack races as well as free hot dogs, soda and water.

On the lawn of the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in Safety Harbor, revelers will be treated with carnival games, inflatables and a rock climbing wall, with a fireworks display at 9:00 pm.

The annual Clearwater Celebrates America event will be held in Downtown Clearwater’s Coachman Park. Starting at 4:00 pm, the park will be the scene of an event including food, children’s activities, and vendors. There will be a live music concert from the Mostly Pops Orchestra with John and Mary K. Wilson starting at 7:30, and of course, fireworks starting at 9:30. Coachman Park is located at 301 Drew St. For more information on Clearwater Celebrates America go here.

n Central Park in Largo, the Largo 4th of July Celebration will feature music at 7:00 pm, and fireworks at 9:00 pm. Central Park is located at 101 Central Park Drive.

Madeira Beach will have a 30 minute firework display over the city’s Recreation Park on Rex Place next to the City Hall complex. The address is 300 Municipal Drive.

Reddington Shores will have a firework display just after dusk in the County Beach Park.

Treasure Island will offer BBQ along with fireworks on the beach starting at 9:00 pm.

There will be an all day celebration in Gulfport, including live music, a parade led by the mayor of Gulfport, and a fireworks display in the evening. For more information on the Gulfport 4th of July Celebration, go here.

St. Petersburg will be hosting a 4th of July extravaganza at The Pier (800 2nd Avenue). The event starts at 1:00 pm, and features live music from the Cool Daddies outside on the courtyard, and a one man circus inside the building. There will also be a drum circle and live music from Save the Radio until 8:00 pm. The fireworks display kicks off at 9:00 pm. The Tampa Bay Rays game will be broadcast at The Pier in addition to the other festivities. The Rays are playing the Texas Rangers in Texas, and big screen TVs will be set up for fans to watch.

And last, but not least, there will be a fireworks display on St. Pete Beach beginning at dusk.

There will also be patriotic events happening on Friday, July 3rd, the day before Independence Day.

On Friday night, Pinellas Park will hold Freedom Fest from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm in Town Square Park Plaza. The event will feature Christian music, food, crafts, kids’ activities and fireworks.

Also on Friday Night, Dunedin will throw an “island style” party in Knology Park. There will be live music from the De Lei’ed Parrots and a performance from children’s entertainer Shana Banana, followed by fireworks at 9:00 pm.
