LPGA Legends Tour Winner Sherri Steinhauer - Photo by Brad KuglerThe Official Legends Tour of the LPGA Open Championship came to the Innisbrook Golf Resort on the weekend of November 20th through the 22nd. The tour featured some of the greatest female golfers of all time competing for a $300,000 purse. Among the 100-plus members of the Legends Tour are 10 World Golf and LPGA Hall of Fame members.

Sherri Steinhauer won the championship, her first tournament win in over a year. Her victory was particularly significant, coming after chronic hip problems and two surgeries in the past ten months threatened to end her career. Steinhauer holds eight wins in twenty-three years on the LPGA tour

The Ruth Eckerd Hall Foundation was the charity of choice for The Legends Tour Open Championship. Through this partnership, all ticket proceeds were donated to the Foundation in support of The Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute. Ruth Eckerd Hall also provided performances for the Tournament’s private evening events.
