The Ultimate Tailgate Pawty - Photo by RGP MediaOn February 6th, The Humane Society of Pinellas held the adorably named Ultimate Tailgate Pawty to provide Super Bowl-friendly entertainment for man’s best friend. Crest Lake Park was crowded with families and their dogs, all looking like they were having a good time, with vendors hawking everything from funnel cake to feathered hats.

Not only did the Ultimate Tailgate Pawty support a good cause—the Humane Society of Pinellas—but it also served as a good way to learn about pet-oriented businesses in the area.

A real crowd pleaser was the obstacle course, around which both people and their pets were able to run.

The Humane Society of Pinellas is “a nonprofit animal shelter providing lifesaving services to our community's sick, injured, abused and abandoned pets and wildlife.” .According to the Humane Society of Pinellas’ website, its mission is to serve the community through compassionate care of all animals.

The Humane Society of Pinellas will be holding their next pet-friendly event on March 20th. The Mutt Strut will take place on Honeymoon Island.
