MOSI’s Einstein on Food and Wine fundraiser offered samplings of food and wine throughout the museum from local restaurants, including Tinatapa’s, Whole Foods, The Melting Pot, and The Raw Food Fairy. In addition to the food and wine tasting, a silent auction was held.

Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo at MOSI 

Tampa, FL (May 26, 2009) - The City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, in conjunction with the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI), will host the 2009 Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at MOSI.  Admission to the Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo is FREE!

In addition, Hurricane Expo guests can enjoy MOSI exhibit galleries and one standard IMAX® Dome Theatre film for only $8 per person.

Bay Area Renaissance Festival 2009

Tampa, FL (February 2009) - The 2009 Bay Area Renaissance Festival welcomes guests for its 31st annual event held in Tampa, Florida. The festival will be open the weekends of February 21st through April 5th, in addition to "Festival Friday" on March 13th. 

The food at the Faire is surely one of the most popular stops in any guest’s journey back in time. Each weekend the Festival offers a unique slant on the period with special events and activities for guests. The enchanting shire of Fittleworth will be host to national and local entertainment acts featuring comedy, music, juggling, jousting and stage combat.  The artisans provide an added authenticity through the colorful shoppes that line the lanes of this renaissance setting.
