The Big Bang Show Takes Place at NOVA 535Since June, the Tampa Bay area’s top talent has been competing in NOVA 535’s ongoing talent/variety show: The Big Bang Show. At 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd, six months of competition will culminate in the season finale of this popular monthly event, with the final champion taking home the $1,000 grand prize.

The Big Bang ShowSince June, Tampa Bay’s hottest undiscovered talent has been competing to win a $1,000 prize in The Big Bang Show.

On Thursday, October 1st, and Thursday, November 5th, the five “Wild Card” winners from the previous shows will come back to compete for two slots in the Thursday, December 3rd finals.

The Big Bang Show is the wild ride of the Gong Show, the drama and suspense of American Idol, and the swank of a world-class live Vegas show combined into one fabulous evening.  The show is filmed live each week.

NOVA 535Unique event space and modern art lounge NOVA 535 will host a free party for the debut of the action-packed “Bridezilla” episode that was filmed in part on its premises. Florida resident and “Bridezilla” star, Kirsten Stiff, daughter of Cindy and Robert Stiff (formerly of The Evening Independent), will host the party with the help of award-winning filmmaker Seth Walker.

The Backroom Film Festival will be at NOVA 535 in St. Pete on September 9thSt. Petersburg, Fla.  – The Backroom Short Film Festival will present their next festival on September 9th at NOVA 535 in St. Petersburg, Florida. This one-day festival will feature films from 2 – 7 minutes in length in three categories: inspiration/motivation, comedy and animation. Conversations with the filmmakers will be interspersed throughout the evening. It’s a visual and interactive evening of film, conversation, food and spirits.

NOVA 535 On Sunday, August 9th 2009 at their first annual Bridal Gala, NOVA 535 will be holding filmed interviews for brides who are interested in winning a free
“Dream Wedding” valued at over $50,000. The decision will be made by August 31, 2009.

Applicants will be screened by film producer Tony Armer and must agree to be filmed for an upcoming documentary on the bridal process. The winner’s "Dream Wedding" ceremony must be held at NOVA 535 on Sunday January 31st, 2010.

NOVA 535 Presents Supernova Sundays

NOVA 535 in St. PetersburgST. PETERSBURG, FL - NOVA 535 unique event space and modern art lounge will present Opening Night of Supernova Sundays starting Sunday, June 7th at 6pm.

The recurring Sunday night party will feature local talent, national celebrity acts and fantastic music. The format will evolve and change each week in order to remain fresh. It all begins June 7th with The Big Bang Show: Think Johnny Carson, Drew Carey and the Whose Line Is It Anyway? guys hijacking American Idol and squeezing it into The Gong Show...only you’re in the audience with dinner and a drink. The Big Bang Show  is hosted by Tampa's own Got Jokes? improv troupe and judged by local celebrity Sterling Powell, hilarious comedienne Christine O’Leary and Torrie & Amanda the adorable dynamic duo behind CBS Radio’s "Girls Gone Sport.” (NOVA 535 is still accepting local talent acts for consideration. The Back Room Short Film Festival 2009

The Back Short Film Festival St. Petersburg, FL (April 10, 2009) - The Back Room Short Film Festival of Sarasota is seeking film submissions for a short film festival at the NOVA 535 on September, 9th from 6–9 pm.  This one-day festival will feature films from 2-7 minutes in length in three categories: inspiration/motivation, comedy and animation.

“This is a film festival designed as a family-friendly occasion with the movies rated PG or less,” said Paul Gruber, founder of www.PeopleAreReady.com and www.TheBackRoom.tv.   “We are encouraging people of all ages to participate and are reaching out to schools and other groups to encourage children, teens and young adults to submit a film.”
