Bark at the Ball ParkBaseball season has returned, and so will the Humane Society of Pinellas fundraiser Bark at the Ball Park. At their first event of the season on May 2nd, owners are allowed to bring their dogs to a Clearwater Threshers game at Bright House Field, 601 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater where the Threshers will face the Daytona Cubs at 1:00 p.m.

Bark at the Ball Park III - Photo by Joshua T. GillionOn Friday, August 21st, Man’s best friend met America’s Pastime at Bark at the Ball Park. Dog owners brought their pets of all breeds and sizes to Bright House Field for a Clearwater Threshers game.

 The event is put on by the Humane Society of Pinellas annually during the minor league season. “Ultimately these types of events are Fundraisers,” says Twila Cole, the special events coordinator for the Humane Society of Pinellas. “We raise money through selling Sponsorship, Vendor spaces, tickets for Raffle Baskets that are made with donations and for some events we also sell shirts.

Phillies Meet The Rays Again 4 Months After the Fall Classic

Clearwater, FL (Feb. 2009) - The atmosphere was set for a rematch of the World Series in front of a record crowd of 10,270 at Bright House Field on Saturday afternoon. There was a brisk home-run wind blowing out to left and temperatures in the upper 70’s. It only seems like yesterday (October) when these two teams met last for game number 5 in Philly in which the playing conditions were 30 degrees cooler than Saturday’s sun-basking afternoon.
