The Big Bang Show Takes Place at NOVA 535Since June, the Tampa Bay area’s top talent has been competing in NOVA 535’s ongoing talent/variety show: The Big Bang Show. At 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd, six months of competition will culminate in the season finale of this popular monthly event, with the final champion taking home the $1,000 grand prize.

The Big Bang Show is an awesome experience, and a chance to catch a glimpse of Tampa Bay’s rising stars. The format of the show allows five contestants to perform for the audience and local celebrity judges. After their bit, the acts are critiqued by the judges, but the winner is determined at the end of the night by audience applause. Interspersed throughout the show are hilarious improvised comedy scenes from Tampa Bay’s premier improv group Got Jokes?

Contestants Vie for a $1,000 grand prize in The Big Bang ShowSince this is the final show, the evening’s talent will be the best of the best, creating stiff competition, and an enjoyable nights.

The contestants vying for the $1,000 grand-prize will be Miss Understood (poet/singer), Chris Matson (comedian), the Jim Morey Band (big band), Chuck Glass (comedian), Catherine Larson (comedian), J'Nelle (singer), Pretty Paul (comedian), Chris Gorges (comedian), Phillip Ott (poet), and Black Zappa (human beat-box). This will be a show you don’t want to miss!

The final round of The Big Bang Show will be judged by Michael Novilla, owner of NOVA 535, Wild 94.1’s Hip-Hop HO(st) and Got Jokes? cast member Alli That Girl, and Christian Johnson, AKA CJ, “LA’s most dangerous personality”. Past Big Bang Show judges have included Amanda and Torrie from Wild 94.1’s GirlsThe Big Bang Show is Hosted by Got Jokes? Improv Gone Sports, CitiLife Magazine editor-in-chief Sterling Powell, stand-up comic Christine O’Leary and socialite Carol Gallagher.

The Big Bang Show takes place the first Thursday of every month at 8:00 p.m. Each show is filmed live, and catered by great local restaurants. December’s season finale show will be catered by Hooks Sushi.
